OVERVIEW: This webinar will explore CNA's database of nurse practitioner closed professional liability claims to identify liability patterns and trends. By highlighting closed nurse practitioner events that resulted in financial loss or expenses, we highlight the types of situations most likely to have serious adverse consequents for patients and create liability exposures for nurse practitioners. Using this information, nurse practitioners can examine their own current practices in relation to the allegations of malpractice in relation to claims and losses experienced by their peers. Selected claims asserted against nurses will be discussed.
