Registration Refund and Cancellation Policy

Refunds will not be issued after Monday July 23, 2018

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations: All cancellations require written notification to FNPN at FloridaNPNetwork@gmail.com. Please Note: If you cancel your conference registration please cancel your housing reservation.

FORCE MAJEURE: In the event FNPN should find it necessary to cancel or postpone the FNPN 2018 Annual Conference for any reason, including but not limited to low registration, strikes, acts of nature, war, terrorist acts or other circumstances beyond FNPN's control, FNPN's liability shall be limited to refund of registration fees paid to FNPN.

Refunds

Refunds on paid registrations will be issued for written cancellation requests received via email no later than July 23, 2018. All refunds will be issued for the paid registration minus a $50 administrative fee or a $25 administrative fee for a student/retired registration. Refunds will not be issued after Monday July 23, 2017.

Returned Checks: An administrative fee of $50 will be charged for all checks returned to FNPN for insufficient funds.

No Shows: If you do not cancel in writing to FNPN and do not attend, you still are responsible for payment.

    Workshop CMV Medical Examiner Training Course: History Overview and Regulation - Salon Puerto Rico

    The content in this 5 hour training program meets the requirements in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) final rule for the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (National Registry) Core Curriculum Specifications. In accordance with 49 CFR 390.105(b), this training includes the eight topics which must be covered in the core curriculum specifications. Following completion of this training, participants will receive the proof of training certificate required to take the NRCME examination.

    This workshop will introduce the Nurse Practitioner to the skill of trigger point injections and joint injections.     This workshop will educate the Nurse Practitioner to care Corneal Abrasions and how to deal with foreign bodies in eyes. Appropriate assessment will be covered as well as the technique for treating these problems. Anatomy of the eye will be reinforced by dissecting sheep's eyes. The participant will also be able to practice assessment. staining, and foreign body removal on a sheep's eye.

    This activity presented by AANP is based on the nationally vetted safe opioid prescribing standards using the FDA REMS blueprint. Content discusses (1) pain assessment and screening tool recommendations; (2) opioid trial components including patient/provider agreements and informed consent use, expected activities during the prescription trial phase of treatment including the decision to stop treatment; (3) components of long term therapy including ongoing assessment tool use, urine drug testing frequency, updating PPA and informed consents; and (4) issues related to termination of care. Red flag behaviors are discussed as well as complex pain management case studies. Pharmacology information includes the CO*RE content on immediate and long acting opioid use, equal analgesic dose changes, drug families and new drug formulations.
