The North American Menopause Society (NAMS), founded in 1989, is the leading nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the health and quality of life of all women during midlife and beyond through an understanding of menopause and healthy aging. It has a multidisciplinary membership that includes experts from medicine, nursing, sociology, psychology, nutrition, anthropology, epidemiology, pharmacy, and education.
At the meeting, the world’s leaders in the menopause field will discuss such cutting-edge topics as the new findings from the KEEPS estrogen trial, controversies in bone health, the feminine heart, menopause and mood, and the languishing libido.
There is also a Pre-Meeting Symposium that will cover: “Midlife Screening: What, When, How?" Wednesday, October 3, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
