Nurse Practitioner (APRN / ARNP / FNP) - Rheumatology

Position Overview

The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and ongoing management of patients with rheumatic and autoimmune conditions. This role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while working collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams in an outpatient clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with rheumatic and autoimmune diseases in collaboration with physicians
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions to manage symptoms and improve patient outcomes
• Provide clinical oversight and support for infusion services, including pre-infusion assessments, monitoring for adverse reactions, and administration per established protocols and collaborative practice agreements
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment options, medication management, and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Participate in clinical research initiatives and ongoing professional development activities as applicable
  
  

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and national certification (APRN / ARNP / FNP)
• Prior experience or specialization in rheumatology or a related specialty preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice
  
  

Skills & Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions and treatments
• Proficiency in diagnostic tools, clinical evaluation, and treatment planning
• Experience with infusion therapies and biologic medications preferred
• Strong teamwork, organization, and time-management skills
• Proficiency with EMR systems, clinical documentation, and Microsoft Office
