National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from May 6, also known as National Nurses Day, through May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.
Be proud of our heritage and wonderful profession. It's our keen nursing insight, knowledge and experience that makes us unique and best health care providers as ARNP's.
Let all know - your colleagues, your patients, your family and friends and especially the media and our legislators - about the many contributions ARNP's bring to make Florida a healthier place to live and work.
Our NSO team just wanted to send you a quick note wishing you and your members a
Happy Nurses Week!
Thank you for all you do and for your continued partnership!
As we kick off nurses week, we are also celebrating our 40th Anniversary here at NSO. NSO was founded in 1976. Currently, the program covers more than half a million members and is the preferred malpractice provider to nearly 40 nursing association partners. It is the number one provider of individual malpractice insurance for the nursing community.
"Nurses are the backbone of patient care, and we want to recognize them for their tireless and compassionate work day in and day out," says Michael Loughran, president, NSO. "Over the past 40 years, we have been privileged to help protect more than three million of these outstanding professionals. Nurses have helped make our program what it is today, and we want to show our appreciation to them as we celebrate our 40-year milestone."
