Greetings,
My name is Nancy Galyon. I am a dual certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) student at Wilkes University. You have been chosen to participate in this doctoral research because you are a nurse practitioner in the state of Florida. I am inviting you to take part in this research study by completing the attached survey, and viewing the attached brief educational power point program. In addition, a short follow-up survey will be emailed to you in two weeks to evaluate your knowledge retention from this presentation and any change in practice, counseling, or perception with regard to the information discussed in the educational program. You will not receive any further communication or emails after the survey. Please be on the lookout for this follow-up email, and take the time to answer the brief follow-up survey to assist in this valuable research. Participation is strictly voluntary and you may withdraw from this study at any time.
Should you choose to participate in this project, please answer the survey questions as honestly and completely as possible, view the educational presentation, and complete the follow-up survey, which will be emailed to you in two weeks. We ask that you voluntarily provide your personal or professional email address for this purpose. The email address will be kept confidential and will not be sold, shared, or used for any other purpose than for the purpose of sending this study. Thank you for taking the time to assist me in my educational endeavors. The data collected will provide useful information regarding ways in which healthcare providers can assist and empower their adolescent patients through support and education, making available the tools that they require to choose the direction of their own lives.
