The Florida Nurse Practitioner Network led a contingency from Florida as we visited with elected members of Congress and staff today to discuss key issues impacting NPs and their patients during the newly organized AANP Health Policy Conference. Chief issues that we discussed was improving access to high-quality health care for all Americans but specifically our fellow citizens in Florida. "With the shortage of primary care physicians and increasing demand for health care services, it is critical that federal policy empower NPs to practice to the full extent of their education and experience," said AANP President ~ Angela Golden, DNP, FNP-C, FAANP
