The FNPN wishes all Advanced Practice Nurses a happy National NP Week!

It is our honor and privilege to serve the Nurse Practitioners of Florida. Each year, one week in November is declared National Nurse Practitioner Week. The occasion is not only a great opportunity to recognize the many contributions of nurse practitioners, but also to promote awareness of NPs and the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network. Our local groups will be engaged in activities to spotlight NPs, educate and increase public awareness of the value of NPs in today's healthcare system and share their accomplishments of the past year. Please let us know what you are doing so we can share these activities in our next newsletter.

Perhaps the single most important way to promote NP awareness is through district office visits with your local State Representatives and Senators. We have made great strides in advancing our profession in Florida over the last year but we still have much to do. Let's keep up the momentum and work towards our ultimate goal....FULL PRACTICE AUTHORITY!

Attached is Governor Rick Scott's official proclamation of National Nurse Practitioner Week.

We at FNPN would like to thank  Governor Scott for acknowledging the work NPs do to deliver high quality healthcare in Florida and for honoring ARNPs!
