Veteran's Day Message

Posted over 6 years ago by Arlene Wright

FNPN would like to remember and honor our Veterans on November 11th , 2017.
Why do we celebrate November 11th? Veterans day was to honor those lost in the Great War - WWI. Before the treaty of Versailles was signed, an armistice, or temporary cessation of hostilities, between the Allied nations and Germany went into effect on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. For that reason, November 11, 1918, is generally regarded as the end of “the war to end all wars.”

As we prepare to celebrate NP week November 12 - 18th, please make it a point to thank a Veteran or their family for choosing to seek their health care from an NP and let them know NP's care for veterans. Lets  help make the VA rule enacted through out Florida. Call and ask your local VA to pass the federal decision to allow NPs to have FPA. Full Practice authority is now  reality in the panhandle thanks to the Biloxi VISN passing the rule. If nurse pracittioner FPA is good for Veterans, its vital for all Floridians!
