Medicaid Expansion: Your Calls are Needed

Florida Chain is asking for support regarding their advocacy efforts related to Medicaid expansion.
The Florida Nurse Practitioner Network has secured support from Florida Chain in our efforts to recognize nurse practitioners as Medicaid primary care providers and allow nurse practitioners to bill directly in Medicaid HMOs .
The Senate PPACA committee will vote on Medicaid expansion during their 1 - 3 pm hearing on Monday! Support from two Republicans in addition to all Democrats on the committee must be secured to pass any motions for recommendations. Sample language below:

You know what’s at stake. By accepting federal dollars to extend Medicaid health coverage to 1 million Floridians we save lives, keep our tax dollars in state, lower health costs for families and businesses and protect the safety-net that is there for us if we need it.
