SB 1594 sponsored by Senator Brandes passed unanimously today out of the Senate Health Policy Committee and has two more committees to go. This bill will bring FL advanced practice nurses into closer alignment with the National Council of State Boards of Nursing Consensus Model by changing title to Advanced Practice Registered Nurse from Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, adding clinical nurse specialists to the APRN role and clarifying certification.
