How Can I Help Military Service Members in My Practice?

Posted almost 11 years ago by Jean Aertker

Asking the right questions can help health care providers identify debilitating conditions brought on by the stress and or conditions of war and military life. As the 10th Anniversary FNPN Conference approaches (May 17 & 18th), we wanted to highlight one of our invited speakers. USF College of Nursing Military Liaison, Instructor and Coordinator, Graduate Simulation, Alicia Rossiter, MSN, ARNP, FNP, PNP-BC. Alicia serves in the US Army Nurse Corps. FNPN is committed to promoting "Joining Forces",  a comprehensive national campaign led by the White House. As a state group member of AANP, we support thier initiative to help NPs understand the complex issues faced by our service heros. All providers are asked to take the time to ask important questions of their patients who are returning veterans, members of the military or military family members.  What to learn more about this initiative? Just sign up for the conference and join us at FNPN!
