Happy 2021 National NP Week! Recognizing an amazing NP from Region 5!

Dr Susan Hook, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC is the CEO of Samaritan Wellness in Cape Coral, Florida. In 2011, recognizing and appreciating the lack of health care options for the uninsured and the working under -insured, Dr Hook set out to make a difference in the landscape that created this healthcare disparity.  After visiting a faith-based clinic in Memphis, she pursued her mission and was determined to create a similar model that would deliver quality accessible care to this underserved population. One of Dr Hook’s greatest attributes is her ability to cultivate relationships that ultimately facilitate patient’s ability to obtain diagnostic studies and specialty referrals that are vital to their health and well-being. She has successfully grown this clinic and continues to expand her bandwidth. In addition to  the addition of two other  advanced practice registered nurses in the clinic, Dr Hook also employs mental health counselors that provide much needed integrative care.
