Happy NP Week!
In honor of NP week, Region 4 would like to recognize nurse practitioner, Dr. Stefanie La Manna. She serves as Assistant Dean of Academic Programs at Nova Southeastern University, Ron and Kathy Assaf College of Nursing.
Dr. LaManna actively practices in internal medicine and infectious disease. Dr. La Manna’s research interests are infectious disease including HIV, antibiotic resistance, sepsis, and the importance of immunizations throughout the life span.
In addition to academic and clinical practice, Dr. La Manna is active in the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty and serves on several of the organization’s committees to support quality education for nurse practitioner students nationally. She also serves as Treasurer for the Nurse Practitioner Council of Palm Beach County and on the Nominating and Awards Committee for the South Florida Council of Advanced Practice Nurses.
