Currently, I am the 1st VP of Legislation for FNPN and have been actively involved with APRN legislation in Florida since 1992. I was involved in helping Florida APRNs obtain controlled substance prescriptive privileges and was appointed to the Controlled Substance committee. In 2020 I was instrumental in Florida APRNS receiving autonomous practice and was appointed to the Standards of Practice committee by the BON. I was the first autonomous APRN licensed in Florida. I am Chair of the Florida Board of Nursing North Probable Cause panel and educate students and APRNs on legal issues and rules of the profession.
Candidates for Secretary
Ana Paula Harwood, Incumbent
I joined FNPN last year because FNPN truly fosters the professional growth and development of the more than 45,000 APRNs across the State of Florida. For this reason, immediately after joining FNPN, I began serving as FNPN Secretary where I have also spearheaded many FNPN promotional initiatives. Given this experience over the past year, I truly want to serve as Secretary of this great organization in the upcoming year where I will be able to continue working as part of a team with great vision and drive to succeed. Please vote Ana Paula Harwood for FNPN Secretary! Thank you!
LaMisa Rayside
Fulfilling a role on the Board of Directors as secretary will foster an opportunity to learn more about the organization and collaborate with other board members who strive to uphold FNPN’s mission statement. As the former president of the Central Florida Advanced Nursing Practice Council, I learned the importance of being involved in local, state, and national organizations as it cultivates leadership and provides a platform to learn about governance. Experiences of this caliber will help build networks and allow continual advancement in my career.
I believe that I possess the skills necessary to fulfill the role of secretary. I am detail-oriented and if assigned a task, it will be completed by the deadline and to the best of my abilities. Lastly, as secretary, I will adhere to the Bylaws and policies of the FNPN. Thank you for this opportunity.
Christina Dzioba
FNPN has been a wonderful resource and support during my move to Florida. I currently am an assistant professor and endocrinology NP. I am so thankful that FNPN advocates and represents all of the nurse practitioners in Florida so well within the state and nationally. I currently serve as treasurer for the Nurse Practitioner Council of Collier County after previously serving as member at large. I'm looking to contribute to FNPN as I have become more involved in AANP and FNPN the past few years. I would be honored to be your secretary and contribute to the Board of Directors.
Leslee D'Amato-Kubiet

I have been an active participant in state and local nursing organizations for over 32 years and would like to continue supporting the NP role through the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network as a board member. My strengths include extensive knowledge of software applications, recent leadership, and excellent service skills. I welcome comments, ideas, and innovation, and enjoy honoring the achievements and traditions of NPs in all settings. Working together is an integral part of the journey for NP’s.
Candidates for Membership Chair
Cindy Parsons
As a previous Membership Chair of FNPN, I worked to create a strong and vibrant state organization. It is my goal to increase membership so that the voice of Florida NPs remains strong. I will commit my efforts to assure that FNPN leads as the professional organization for NPs in the state of Florida.
If elected, I commit to work with the FNPN leadership to foster effective communication within the organization and from the organization to NPs in Florida.
I will work with FNPN leadership to foster program development that leads to a vital, energetic organization that truly represents advanced practice nurses in Florida in the realm of professional and political advocacy.
George Peraza-Smith
I have been an enthusiastic, active member of FNPN for many years. I have served as a past FNPN and PAC Treasurer. I believe in FNPN's mission of promoting excellence in practice, education, policy, and research and serving as the legislative leader for full and direct access to Nurse Practitioners (NP). I am asking for your vote as Membership Chair. I believe that FNPN can grow our membership and continue to find ways to recruit our newer NPs and students. We need to find ways to cause NPs to want to join FNPN and become active members.
We can conduct surveys and focus groups to determine the benefits members are needing and want. We can add value to FNPN membership. My personal mission in associations is to be of service. I am passionate as a member of the NP profession and FNPN that represents NPs in Florida. We can make a difference by being involved. I would appreciate the opportunity to serve you as Membership Chair.

Membership in the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network fulfills the vision of being the premier nurse practitioner organization for Florida’s nurse practitioners. I have 28 years of working as a nurse practitioner and now serve as faculty to nurse practitioner students, where over 90% are planning to practice in Florida. I have worked with community service organizations in leadership roles and was part of leading the efforts to form a local nurse practitioner network in the Panhandle. My experience positions me to serve as the Membership Chair of the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network.
