FNPN lobbyist, Allison Carvajal has been working with the Senate President's office all day yesterday and today on an amendment to the Title bill. I devised a document for her with more information to share with them that they were not aware of such as how we choose to go into a specific APRN track, then have to be board certified in that area before Florida will license us, etc. There were other things they were not aware of that we needed to educate them on. We do know the bill will be amended at 3:00 pm tomorrow and she believes this is something we can all live with and it is definitely more in our favor. There is no guarantee the Speaker of the House Paul Renner will accept it. Please keep your calls and emails flowing. The House said they have had over 100 phone calls today. We need more calls being made so please pass the word to all our APRN colleagues, friends, and families.
