Her work has significantly impacted veteran nursing careers and advanced the role of nurses across all levels.

FNPN is especially proud of Dr. Rossiter’s ongoing dedication to Florida nursing and her role in nominating Dr. Loretta Ford, the first nurse practitioner inducted into the Florida Veterans’ Hall of Fame in 2024.

Established in 2013, the Florida Veterans’ Hall of Fame honors veterans who have made significant contributions to the state during or after their military service. With over 1.5 million veterans, Florida remains the most veteran-friendly state in the nation. A Hall of Fame plaque hangs on the wall in the Capitol Building – look for it when you visit for legislative days in Tally. The Induction Ceremony will be held November 6, 2025 at the FSU Alumni Center in Tallahassee. If you visit the Capitol during FNA Legislative Days in 2026, do look for the Veterans Hall of Fame Plaques installed on the first floor. FNPN will be there as a premier sponsor again to show you the way!
