Wreaths Across America Events: FNPN will Honor Dr. Ford December 6, 2025 at FNC-Bushnell, FL

Looking to Volunteer in December for a Great Cause? 

On December 6, 2025, a group of nurse practitioners plan to visit the Florida National Cemetery at Bushnell to place a Memorial Wreath on the grave for the first-year anniversary of the passing of NP Co-Founder, Dr. Loretta Ford.  FNPN is sponsoring the 1st year Anniversary Wreath for Dr. Ford and will join her daughter Valerie Monrad, to honor both her parents who were World War II veterans. If you're interested in attending a short legacy ceremony at FNC Bushnell on December 6th, Saturday, around noon, to place the wreaths, please contact  Jean Aertker at DrAertker@gmail.com (text 813-787-3175). Can car pool! We have FNPN members who have family also at this location and we will be placing wreaths on their family graves as well. “Wreaths across America” day takes place on the second Saturday of December yearly. This year it will be December 13th - the formal “Public Day" at many national cemeteries to honor military veterans by sponsoring wreaths, volunteering, or spreading this event across America. Started by Worcester Wreath company  in 2007, finding a patriotic way to use a surplus of wreaths one year started this National Memorial event to remember our fallen hero’s. Cant make these dates in person but wish to help lay wreaths at a national cemetery, please contact the website or donate a wreath or two.

Florida will have several wreath laying events in December. The public events need many volunteers to do this on December 13. Sign up to give a hand to honor the fallen at a location near you!
