On October 5, 2010, the Institute of Medicine (IOM) released its vision for a transformed patient-centered health care system in the United States, The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health. The Florida Nurse Practitioner is proud to share the work that the FNA Board of Directors has done as a response to the Institute of Medicine Report. Utilizing several resources including data from the Florida Center for Nursing, this project was led by Dr. Mavra Kear with input from all members of the Board.
