Nurse Practitioner Input Needed on National Multi-disciplinary Survey on Pain Management - Please

Posted almost 13 years ago by Regina Pommer

Attention NP Colleagues!

The Nurse Practitioner Healthcare Foundation (NPHF) is asking NPs to participate in a national interdisciplinary survey that will identify clinicians’ educational needs related to prescribing opioids. We urgently need your participation to ensure that NPs are part of this process. The survey responds to the FDA’s recent Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) letter to the pharmaceutical industry, which will require pharmaceutical manufacturers to fund education efforts to enhance clinicians’ knowledge and competence in prescribing long-acting opioids.

NPHF is working with a multi-disciplinary group of organizations – the Collaboration for REMS Education(CO*RE) – to make sure that any REMS education that is developed meets the needs of busy clinicians. The survey is essential to determine what areas of education are most needed by NPs. Please take about 15 minutes of your time to participate. The survey is being completed by MDs, DOs, PAs, pain management specialists, palliative and hospice care providers, and primary care providers. WE NEED NPs TO BE PART OF THIS PROCESS. Please read the letter of invitation which gives you a bit more detail, and then take the survey! Click Here

Your responses will be strictly confidential, and data will be reported ONLY in the aggregate- we will not collect or ask for personal information.

Thank you!
