Virtual Advocacy Day

The Florida Nurse Practitioner Network is participating in a coordinated weekly Virtual Advocacy Day project with the other advance practice nursing associations in the Florida Coalition of Advanced Practice Nurses. Your involvement is imperative in order to make this a success. Each week you will be receiving an email with a prepared message. Please take a few minutes to send the communication to your legislators. Links to finding your legislators and email information is provided below.
Please use the appropriate opening speech below to send to your representatives and the other to send to your senators.

SB 614 allowing ARNP to prescribe controlled substances
SB 532 allowing ARNPs to order Controlled Substances medications in facilities
SB 476 allowing PMHNPs to discharge patients from psychiatric facilities
SB 478 Telemedicine bill, includes ARNPs

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists help to eliminate gaps in access to anesthesia services, especially in rural, inner-city and other medically undeserved areas in Florida.
Certified Nurse Midwives provide primary healthcare to all women including those of childbearing age, during pregnancy through birth and thereafter and provide gynecological and menopausal care.
