• Family and friends for their love and support
• Living in America for the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy – and while we are a fractious bunch, we are goodhearted people
• The members of the armed forces who protect us and the veterans who served
• The fact that 2012 is coming to a close – it was a tough year for many people
• The opportunity on a daily basis to make a difference in the lives of the people whom we come into contact
