Zika Virus-Important Message from Department of Health
Posted about 9 years ago by Regina Sanders
Dear Prenatal Providers:
The Department of Health is currently investigating possible non-travel related cases of Zika virus disease in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. We must remain vigilant and increase our level of questioning when considering Zika virus disease. Remember to identify, test and inform. Please contact your county health department (CHDs) immediately if you suspect a patient has Zika fever (per rule 64D-3.029, Florida Administrative Code), to ensure prompt mosquito control efforts.
