FNPN MEMBERS TAKE NOTE! FNA ADVOCACY DAYS HAS CHANGED TO VIRTUAL EVENT JANUARY 19-20, 2022
Posted over 3 years ago by Jean Aertker
Important Announcement: Due to the proliferation of COVID-19 in Florida and the transmissibility risks associated with face to face events, the FNA Board of Directors has made the decision today to convert the 2022 FNA Advocacy Days to a fully virtual conference. FNPN became a sponsor of this year's event to encourage all NP members to join in and learn advocacy skills first-hand with seasoned NPs. We of course support this decision to go virtual. It's prudent we maintain safe distance, limit large gatherings and protect all.
We were looking forward to returning to a face to face event in the capital this year, but FNA felt that the risks to all members and the community was too great to justify. We look forward to having a productive and educational virtual event in lieu of the activities scheduled in Tallahassee. The conference dates will remain January 19-20 and the agenda will remain largely the same in the virtual environment. We do anticipate being able to have virtual meetings with legislators as well. We will be sending out additional updates in the coming days. If you reserve hotel stay, please plan to cancel.
Reduced VIRTUAL Registrations Rates NOW Available: To assist more nurses in attending the virtual program, FNA extended Early Bird registration rates and is providing an additional $50 registration discount for all licensed nurses. Pre-licensure nursing students will receive an additional discount as well. The updated registration prices are listed on the FNA website. Members who registered prior to the new discount will be given the option of receiving a credit towards future conference registrations or be refunded the difference in cost. Eligible members will be contacted directly regarding the credit.
Registration Deadline Extended: Online registration will be available until Tuesday, January 18. Attendees registered prior to that date will receive access instructions for the virtual conference the day before the event. Please note that registrations made on January 18 may not receive access instructions until the morning of the conference.
